I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience left a very bad impression. The food was actually good, and our hibachi chef did a great job. Unfortunately, the way the bill was handled completely overshadowed the meal. We were a party of four—two adults and two children. When the bill arrived, an automatic 18% service fee had already been added, even though the menu clearly states that an 18% gratuity is added only for parties of six or more. We asked to speak with a manager or someone who could explain the charge. After waiting approximately 15 minutes, no one ever came to our table to address the issue. At that point, we paid the bill and left. We are not opposed to tipping. In fact, we ultimately paid the equivalent of a 20% tip because the service itself was good. The issue is the lack of transparency and the fact that the restaurant applied an automatic gratuity that appeared to directly contradict its own printed policy. Customers should not have to carefully inspect their bill to avoid potentially tipping twice, nor should they be ignored when they politely ask for clarification. All in all this was a good place if you like hibachi. The food was good and a hibachi dinner includes rice and noodles, which you don't get everywhere so we appreciated that. My wife and I both had the filet mignon and chicken dinner and I also got a blue ocean roll. Everything was delicious. The chef was a entertaining as good expect (and very generous with the sake). It was pretty loud even though it didn't seem to be a very busy night (we were seated right away as a part of 5), but there was a pretty big bachelor party seated right behind us getting very rowdy so that could explain the noise level. My one complaint is that service felt kind of rushed. We were handed the bill and to go boxes immediately as soon as our chef was done cooking, all our food was still fresh on our plates. We weren't even asked if we wanted dessert (we had 3 kids with us, dessert is usually a go), but we were so full that I don't exactly mind that. Overall I would recommend for the food and the fun. Service was a bit rushed, but not rude or pushy.

Good dining experience, we’ve been to Kobe a lot of times and decided to try Koto because it is quite cheaper. It honestly didn’t disappoint. Everything is almost the same. And i think food portion is bigger here. Spent my husband’s birthday and they sing for him with a free scoop of ice cream. Our server is friendly and offered my toddler a paper and crayons to keep her busy while waiting. Our bill was $80 for 2 persons not including tips. Overall, great experience at Koto!

What a fun place to celebrate anything. We were there foe a friends birthday and did the Hibachi. So much fun and love the fact they worked with my food allergies. SO if you have one let them know at the beginning so they can take care of you. Food was delicious and the chef was amazing and so funny. We will be back again i want to have more sushi it was fresh and tasty. We had a great time and so much food we had to take it home. Oh and did the Sake shots flow....the disco birthday song was great!

Absolutely phenomenal experience! The sushi here is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every bite was a delight! The service was top-notch—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. And the atmosphere? Simply perfect—warm, inviting, and stylish, making it an ideal spot for any occasion. If you’re looking for the best sushi experience, this is the place to be. Highly recommend!
